A Saint-Étienne star has revealed he is trying to persuade Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to return to the French club. SLInt MORE:
Aubameyang has been banished from the first team squad and has also lost his captain duties after breaching disciplinary rules last month.
The striker has missed the club's last five matches, but the team have been able to record five successive wins heading into Saturday's tie against Manchester City. Aubameyang has already left the club to join up with the Gabon national side ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, which gets underway in Cameroon next weekend.
However, the striker's former club Saint Etienne has reportedly emerged as a surprise destination and Bakary Sako has revealed he is trying to pursuade the striker to return. "I am trying to attract him… Wouldn’t you like to see Aubameyang back at St Etienne?," Sako said, as per the Mirrror."We all feel the same. I am very serious when I tell him to come, even if it is in a joking tone. I don’t know if it is possible, but I hope he will respond favourably.
