Filming for the hit BBC crime drama returned to Merseyside last month, with film crews being spotted on Strathcona Road in Wavertree and Marion Square in Netherton. People living nearby received letters in the post to confirm The Responder series two was being filmed.. Martin Freeman was spotted filming a scene walking out of Mellanear Park as well as on the junction of Braby Road and Kirk Road.. The Responder is expected to return in 2024 but no release date has been given.
Adelayo Adedayo was nominated for the Supporting Actress award, won by Anne-Marie Duff, and Josh Finan was nominated for Supporting Actor, won by Adeel Akhtar.The BBC crime drama stars Martin as troubled cop Chris Carson, who attempts to take down a dangerous Merseyside drug ring, and soon finds himself swept up in a series of dramatic events.
