Six schools in Greater Manchester have confirmed they are affected
Work has begun on several Greater Manchester schools affected by dangerous crumbly concrete as 'mitigating measures' are put in place.
It comes after education secretary Gillian Keegan admitted this morning that 'hundreds' of schools could be affected by the material, which poses a collapse risk.Around 1,500 schools are still yet to return surveys on the material, she said, adding that the government would aim to publish a list of all affected schools later this week.
St Bernard's RC School in Bolton and St William of York Catholic Primary School in Great Lever have been forced to delay their term start dates due to the presence of RAAC.
