The authenticity of the fabric, which some believe was wrapped around the body of Jesus, has been much debated.
This week marks the 90th anniversary of the first time the fabric was put on display in 400 years in a remarkable moment that drew in 25,000 people to Turin's Cathedral of St John the Baptist in Turin.
Drawn from the 14 foot cloth, the AI imaging shows a man with long hair and a beard gazing straight out at the viewer. He appears to be adorned in a robe. The Turin Shroud was first revealed to the masses some 600 years ago and even then, some thought that the Shroud was more likely to be a scam than the real traces of Jesus.
