During their coffee catch-up, Oosthuizen informed her friend about her health issues and her struggles with ongoing dialysis.The drive to succeed: Cape Town man drove taxis to fulfil his dream of becoming a doctorAdéle said she was deeply moved by Oosthuizen's emotional story and told her husband about it. To her surprise her husband offered to help.The very next day, they made the call to Oosthuizen to start plans to see if he was a match for her blood type.
Oosthuizen said she could not believe when medical officials finally gave the go-ahead in February for the man who offered to donate his kidney to do so.Doctors told me it is a very in-demand blood type group, and to find someone to donate their kidney for me would take years. So, when Michael told me the excellent news, I just couldn't believe it.
The very emotional high school teacher said she was overwhelmed with"gratefulness" that the operation was a success and that she would be discharged soon.
