Cape Town - A bus belonging to Golden Arrow Bus Services caught fire at Cape Town Bus Terminal on Thursday afternoon.
"The Fire Department is on the scene and the fire has been extinguished," said Bronwen Dyke-Beyer, Golden Arrow Bus Services spokesperson. "At this stage the cause of the fire is unknown but it does not appear to be related to vandalism. We will conduct a thorough investigation to determine the cause. No injuries were reported."
City Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson Jermaine Carelse said confirmed the incident, but revealed that the cause of the fire is unknown. "Fire Fighters were called out at 14:22 to a bus alight in Castle Street, Cape Town CBD. Currently there are three fire engines, a rescue vehicle and 17 staff on scene battling the blaze," Carelse said.
