According to the provincial department of transport, the accident is suspected to have happened when a minibus taxi overtook a barrier line and collided head-on with a light delivery vehicle.Eight people were killed in a head-on collision in Limpopo on Saturday.Provincial MEC Florence Radzilani has cautioned motorists to be responsible when travelling.
"Eight other people sustained injuries [and were] transported to nearby health facilities for medical attention," said transport spokesperson Tidimalo Chuene. "The news deeply saddens us, and we pray for the departed and the families they leave behind. We also pray for the healing of those who sustained injuries in the accident," Radzilani added.
