Anthony was pick-pocketed at a bar. Days after his phone got stolen, the suspects began sending threats to Anthony's new phone.
It was a typical Friday evening for Anthony Smiljkovich. He was enjoying time with friends at The Bullet bar in North Hollywood . That is, until his phone went missing, turning a fun night into a nightmare."As soon as I realized that my phone was gone, my heart just sank," Anthony recalls. "Oh my God, everything's gone."The bartender's response only heightened his alarm: "No, I don't have your phone. Six people here tonight have lost their phones.
"Anthony secured a new phone with the same number but soon faced another nightmare – the thieves began threatening him."It was like a gut-wrenching feeling," Anthony says.The threats were chilling: "I know who you are and where you live, and your whole family will get slaughtered." Another text said, "I'm going to beat and rape you horribly," and "Your best option is to remove it now. I'm angry now, don't mess with me.
