A creatively crunchy take on a sandwich has become so popular that it’s gone viral multiple times over the past few years. On July 9, NBC New York caught up with Long Island eatery Seven Brothers Gourmet Food Market, which has seen a recent surge in business thanks to a relatively recent menu addition: the pickle sandwich.
” Kempf says that orders for buckets of pickles have at least quadrupled in the time since the sandwich went viral, adding that now there’s a separate line for the pickle sandwich so their regular customers can come and go as normal. “On a weekend, we go through 600 pickles, on a really busy day,” she says. But this isn’t the first time this type of pickle sandwich has dill-ighted the internet.
