The governor’s Office of Emergency Services is taking a magnitude 7.0 earthquake simulator on a statewide tour.

The Office of Emergency Services held the preparedness event which included the earthquake simulator and provided earthquake preparedness materials to community members.
Passersby and simulator riders also received emergency preparedness materials and tips at the event at San Francisco State University, which is one of seven stops the state organized starting Wednesday in Sacramento and heading next to Monterey on Friday. Beyond that the tour will visit Santa Barbara on Oct. 16, Los Angeles on Oct. 17, Riverside on Oct. 18 and conclude in San Diego on Oct. 19.
