The vandalism comes days after trains in France were disrupted by arson attacks ahead of the Olympics opening ceremony
French telecommunications and mobile network operator company SFR was affected Telecom installations belonging to French companies SFR, Free and Bouygues Telecom have been been affected, according to Le Parisien newspaper and BFM TV.
Mobile and landline networks were affected in some areas, as well as foreign operators using the SFR network. An investigation has already been opened after a fire at a telephone relay antenna near Toulouse on Thursday night. Authorities are investigating an “ultra-left” anti-Olympic movement that may have been involved.
