The Phoenix Suns have tapped into the buyout market and signed former Magic guard Terrence Ross.
Ross’ agent, Aaron Mintz of CAA, told The Republic late Tuesday night Ross had signed the contract, but the Suns hadn't made an official announcement.
“Can you rewind that in the Twitter world,” said a smiling Williams much to the amusement of the media present. “Can you all do that?”“I grew up with him in PG County,” Williams continued. The real Terrence Ross leaves young, rebuilding Orlando to join Phoenix , a championship contender as the Suns made it official Wednesday morning. Averaging eight points this season and 11 games for his career, the 6-6 Ross is a big guard/wing who can get his own shot off the bounce and knock down 3s.
Ross is shooting 38.1% from 3 in his 11th NBA season out of Washington. He scored 14 points, hitting 2-of-3 from 3, against Phoenix in a Nov. 11 home win for Orlando over the Suns. The Suns now have one roster spot remaining on their 15-man standard roster going into Thursday’s game against the Clippers at Footprint Center before the All-Star break.
