UPDATE: Phoenix officers fatally shot a suspect near 19th Avenue and Buckeye Road on Wednesday night.
Police were called a neighborhood in the area just before 9 p.m. for a reported domestic dispute between a man and a woman. When they tried to detain the man, he ran away, according to Sgt. Melissa Soliz with Phoenix PD.
"After a short distance, the man stopped running and armed himself with a gun," Soliz said. "An officer gave police commands for the man to drop the gun."FOX 10's Danielle Miller has the latest on an officer-involved shooting near 19th Avenue and Buckeye Road that left a man dead on Tuesday night. At some point, two officers opened fire at the man, who was identified as 26-year-old Juan Reynoso. He died at the hospital from his injuries.Police are still investigating. No one else was hurt.
