During the day, hundreds of riders will be able to ride on 20 miles of car-free streets throughout Center City Philadelphia.South Philadelphia's Mummers Museum is taking the pageantry and fun onto South 2nd Street for a fall festival and vendor market. The event features food, shopping, live entertainment and more.
AIDS Fund Philadelphia executive director Robb Reichard talks to NBC10's Matt DeLucia about the work the group does for those living with HIV and AIDS and how this weekend's AIDS Walk helps raise money for the cause."The run will begin at Front Street and Dock Street, continuing north on Front Street to Market Street," Philadelphia police said."The route will then head west on Market Street around the north side of City Hall to 15th Street.
"The return leg will follow eastbound Market Street back to 15th Street, with runners circling the south side of City Hall and heading east on Market Street to 3rd Street. From there, the route turns south on 3rd Street to Chestnut Street and finishes on Chestnut, concluding closer to 2nd & Market Streets."The following streets will be closed beginning at 5 a.m. and will reopen no later than noon, the city of Philadelphia said.
