First baseman Bryce Harper made a short-lived return to the Philadelphia Phillies' lineup. The All-Star slugger is sitting out Wednesday night's game against Los Angeles because of a bruised left hand. Harper was hurt during Tuesday’s 10-1 win over the Dodgers.

A two-time NL MVP, Harper won consecutive National League Player of the Month awards in May and June. He is near the top of the NL in several categories, including average, homers, RBIs, on-base percentage, slugging percentage and on-base plus slugging percentage.
