BANGKOK — The meeting was held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center on Saturday morning, on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit here.“We have many, many connections that we, I think, can strengthen and promote further: the areas of agriculture, the areas of renewable energy,” Marcos was quoted as saying.No other details on the possible cooperation between the two countries have been released to the media.
According to the Office of the Press Secretary, Albanese told Marcos that he supports the Philippine president's stance on the need to address the climate crisis, which is considered one of the world's leading challenges. "In your closing comments in the Plenary Session that there was a common thing that you and I have to take action on climate change, and we may deal with that. And I'm sure that we can have great cooperation," the Australian leader was quoted as saying.Among those in attendance during the meeting were former President and Senior Deputy Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, House Speaker Martin Romualdez, and Trade Secretary Alfredo Pascual.
