For the first time, overseas Filipinos will vote online in the 2025 Philippine elections. The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) announced that 76 Philippine diplomatic posts will implement internet voting from April 13 to May 12. Pre-enrollment for online voting begins on March 10.

Overseas Filipinos registered for the 2025 elections at certain Philippine posts will be able to vote online from April 13 to May 12. This marks the first time internet voting will be used in Philippine elections. Internet voting, which was implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic, will now be a major mode of voting, with 76 Philippine diplomatic posts using it for the May 2025 elections. Like in previous years, Filipinos abroad have a 30-day overseas voting period.

Overseas voters have the traditional personal and postal voting, and the new online voting. These modes are assigned, and you cannot choose one if you have a preference. If you are registered with one of the 76 posts listed below, then your mode is internet voting.\Voters may use any electronic device with a built-in camera that is capable of connecting to the internet. The devices may run on any operating system, such as Windows, Android, iOS, or MacOS, and may have any web browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.\Voters looking to participate in online voting must pre-enroll. Several security features will be implemented in the pre-enrollment platform, such as the provision of a one-time password, uploading of an ID, and photo-capturing for identity verification.\Philippine posts will also have physical voting kiosks, but only persons with disabilities, pregnant people, senior citizens, and Filipinos who cannot read nor write may use them. The Comelec will conduct online test voting from March 10, the day when pre-enrollment starts, until April 12, the day before the month-long voting period. The poll body recommends that participating voters use the test voting platform so that the real platform will already be familiar when the voting period begins. What time can I cast my ballot during the voting period? The overseas voting period will begin on April 13, 8 am of the local time of the posts, and will end on May 12, 7 pm, Philippine Standard Time.
