The Philippine National Police (PNP) has denied that the mass reassignment of 60 police personnel in Davao was politically motivated. PNP spokesperson Brigadier General Jean Fajardo stated the move was to prevent influence over the investigation of alleged irregularities in crime reporting.
THE Philippine National Police denied on Thursday, November 28, 2024, that the mass reassignment of police personnel of Davao was triggered by the ongoing political rift between the Marcoses and Dutertes.
In fact, ‘yung kanilang request for reassignment is during the time pa ni General Torre when he was the RD of PRO 11 because some of them, particularly the police commissioned officers who served as station commanders, chiefs of police and some investigator, na involved doon sa na-discover ni General Torre upon his assumption na nagmamaintain ng double sa mga stations,” said Fajardo.
