State health insurer Philippine Health Insurance Corporation has frontloaded P72,983,582.39 million to the Quezon Primary Care Provider Network’s Konsulta Sandbox following its launch in July this year.
As the first local government unit in the country to establish the Konsulta Primary Care Provider Network , Quezon Province will enable every Quezonian to have a primary care service provider or affordable medical services through the implementation of Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama or Konsulta primary care benefit package, which includes free primary care consultation, health screening and assessment, diagnostic services, and provision of essential medicines at any Konsulta Package Provider .
According to Governor Doktora Helen Tan, residents of the province are set to benefit from the program which they can avail from various health facilities across the province. “In pursuit of universal health care and consistent with the objectives of primary health care, the Province of Quezon is committed to undertake vigorous health facilities enhancement, sustainable provision of medicines and supplies, and stronger health information system”, Tan said.
