Watch more in iWant or TFC.tv MAYNILA — Maraming Pinoy ang naalarma sa suhestiyon ng Philippine Health Insurance Corporation na suspendihin ang tuluyang pagpapatupad ng Universal Health Care sa taong 2021 sa pangambang kakapusin ang budget para pondohan ito.
Sa ilalim ng UHC, layong gawing miyembro ang bawat Pilipino at gawing abot-kaya ang tulong medikal lalo sa mga nakatira sa malalayong lugar. Pero naantala ang tuluyang pagpapatupad nito dahil din sa kakulangan ng pondo. Nilinaw din ni Domingo na hindi suspensyon kundi pagpapaliban lang sa pagpapatupad ng ilang probisyon ng UHC ang minumungkahi ni Morales. Samantala, nagpatutsada naman si Morales sa hirit ni Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque na umano'y bigo siyang tanggalin ang aniya'y katiwalian sa ahensiya.
"Ang masasabi ko kay Atty. Roque, be my guest. My family will be very grateful if they can find somebody, baka siya. No problem with me. But he’s not the President, he’s the spokesman so these are two different things... Roque does not have access to the operating figures of PhilHealth, so I wonder where he got those figures," ani Morales.
