Fox 29 in Philadelphia reporter Bob Kelly’s left eye remained swollen as he returned to the air Tuesday morning after being assaulted at a Jersey Shore bar over the weekend by a man filming an apparent TikTok challenge.
Sea Isle City police haven’t said if anyone has been charged in the assault on Kelly at a party Sunday evening at Oar House Pub.confirmed on Good Day Philadelphia Tuesday that a man threw water at him moments before the assault. Kelly expressed gratitude for people asking how he was doing on social media.
“I just want to say first of all thank you so much for all of the messages on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, cell phone texting, all concerned about me,” Kelly said. “I’m OK, I’m here. It was a frightening, disturbing event that was apparently incited by this TikTok challenge similar to what you saw happen to Cardi B with the water being thrown.
