UPDATE: Police say the man shot in the drive-by shooting in East Germantown has died.
PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia Police say they fired at three men after witnessing a fatal drive-by shooting in the city’s East Germantown section on Sunday. The suspects were able to escape.
Police say two officers assigned to the 14th District were on their routine patrol when they saw three men inside a gray Nissan SUV shoot a 31-year-old man multiple times. The man was pronounced dead at 8:02 p.m. at a local hospital, according to police.Police say the officers discharged their weapons multiples times after the shooting happened around 6:45 p.m. on the 6100 block of Baynton Street.
