Phil Spencer may have just answered what platforms we're going to see Elder Scrolls 6 on, and one console is notably absent.
Phil Spencer – the CEO of Microsoft Gaming – gave his two cents on whether or not the upcoming Elder Scrolls 6 game will be an Xbox exclusive, and it doesn’t sound good for PlayStation fans.owners with its green exclusivity, though there’s a sliver of hope with ES6. Without a confirmed release date, and a likely half a decade before we hear much concrete information on the game, it’s unlikely we’re going to know the hard facts for a while.
“We look at it on a case-by-case basis with the games that we build. We want to make sure our games are available in so many different places. On our Xbox consoles, on PC, also via Cloud … it’s really about giving players choice around how they want to play and build their library of games.” Absent, perhaps as expected, is any mention of PlayStation consoles.
Bethesda’s recent acquisition by Microsoft has been damning for Sony fans, with Starfield having been kept exclusive to Xbox consoles and PC. News earlier in June only further disappointed fans, with Spencer dancing around the subject in his sworn testimony as: “with Elder Scrolls VI, it’s so far out–it’s hard to understand what platforms it will even be on at this point.”
Naturally, Spencer has no reason to mention PlayStation when asked about what consoles Elder Scrolls 6 is going to be on, though it doesn’t look good for those hoping to play the game on their PS5.
