GEORGE TOWN: The Malaysian Community Pharmacy Guild (MCPG) has urged the Health and Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) Ministries to remove the ceiling price of face masks and ban the export of face masks temporarily.
MCPG president Lovy Beh said this was to ensure that the country had sufficient stock in light of the Covid-19 outbreak.
"Many may think that business is good for us but, unfortunately, that is not the case for most of us. "This is because the KPDNHEP imposed a ceiling selling price for masks, making it more expensive than the retail selling price," she said during the"Advancing Pharmacists' Role: Myths and Facts about Sexual Health and Family Planning Workshop 2020" at G Hotel Gurney Sunday .
