The Philippine Red Cross deployed its "Hot Meals On Wheels" to communities within 24 hours as part of its ongoing efforts to provide nutrition and sustenance to people that will be affected by typhoon Betty.
Currently, the PRC has 35 food trucks across the country, strategically positioned and ready to be deployed in times of crisis. "And now some local government units, following our lead, have bought food trucks as a disaster preparedness measure,” he added.
