“So, that’s why we will look forward to the invitations that have actually been extended in the previous years but due to Covid, it did not materialize,” Romualdez, Marcos’s top ally in the Philippine legislature, said. Marcos assumed the presidency on June 30, 2022, when much of the world was still in the process of reopening amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
