“None of the existing variant strains have escaped the protection provided by our vaccine,” Bourla said, emphasizing: “None.” However, if this were to change, Bourla said the company has a plan and the infrastructure in place to turn around a new vaccine within 100 days. He also reiterated that Pfizer is working on an oral treatment against Covid-19, which he is hoping will be approved by the end of the year.
