Peugeot Launches 3008 And 5008 Hybrid, Details Electrified Powertrain | Carscoops carscoops
‘s three-cylinder 1,2-liter PureTech engine under the bonnet features a variable geometry turbocharger and runs on the Miller cycle. A single electric motor producing up to 28 hp and 55 Nm of torque is integrated within a new six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends power to the front axle.
The combined output of the mild hybrid powertrain is 134 hp and 230 Nm of torque, which is 6 hp more than the non-electrified engine it replaces. More importantly, the 48V tech can save up to 1 lt/100 km of petrol on the WLTP combined cycle in a compact SUV , while reducing CO2 emissions by up to 20g/km, thus being compatible the Euro 6.e standard.
The Peugeot 3008 and 5008 Hybrid will be produced at the Sochaux factory in France, with European sales expected to start in the second quarter of 2023. Note that the French automaker is already working on the next generation of thePeugeot confirmed that the mild-hybrid engine will soon find its way under the bonnet of the 208, 2008, 308, 308 SW, and 408.
