Petronas rig workers rescue Philippine duo adrift for 15 days
Two Philippine fishermen stranded at sea for 15 days after their boat engine stalled have been rescued by workers at a Petronas oil rig about 140 nautical miles from Bintulu. The father-son duo hail from Palawan, an island some 330 nautical miles from the rig. – AFP pic, March 2, 2020.
TWO Filipino fishermen adrift at sea for 15 days after their boat engine stalled have been rescued by workers at a Petronas oil rig about 140 nautical miles from Bintulu. According to the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency, Jaafar Salleh, 40, and his 24-year-old son, Jaisar, were saved on February 20 and brought to shore in Bintulu at 9.30am today.
