🧐 Having secured a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Erik Tinkler's Cape Town City in the CAF Champions League on Saturday, Petro de Luanda head coach Alexandre Santos says his side cannot rest on their laurels going into the second leg. SLInt MORE:
On the weekend, the Citizens contested their first-ever CAF Champions League match against record Angolan champions Petro at Cape Town Stadium.
Things did not get any better for the side from the Mother City when, three minutes into the second half, the reigning Girabola champions doubled their advantage courtesy of a Tiago Azulao penalty. The Petro captain then compounded Tinkler's misery as he made it 3-0 in the 68th minute. "It is not finished," he said in a post-match press conference."Every time, we score three goals, like in the last preliminary [stage].
"In the second moment, almost score and in five minutes or 10 minutes we could lose 2-0 and all the game maybe change.
