The comic was preforming at the Newcastle Utilita Arena on Thursday night when the show was quickly brought to a halt. A fan who was sitting on the front row in the audience reportedly became unwell.
Peter is believed to have instantly rushed off the stage in front of his 11,000 fans in order to try and help the audience member before a wheelchair was later brought out and he needed urgent medical attention.Afterwards, an audience member told The Sun: "Peter asked if they were being serious, then he asked for the big lights to go on and stewards ran over to see what was going on.
The show was part of his huge sold-out comeback tour which is set to continue until August 2023, the Mirror reports. His memoir will mark Kay's long-awaited return to the page following the record-breaking release of his autobiography The Sound Of Laughter in 2006, Saturday Night Peter in 2009 and The Book That's More Than Just A Book in 2011.
