Callstrom's contract was not renewed amid a lawsuit against the CEO and nonprofit that alleges discrimination and harassment.
Peter Callstrom, the CEO of San Diego Workforce Partnership, will no longer lead the organization after the board that governs the nonprofit voted not to renew his contract amidSan Diego Workforce Partnership is an organization that works closely with government agencies to administer job training and support economic mobility for people throughout the region. It’s backed by grants as well as state and federal funding.
The law firm representing Callstrom confirmed in an email that his contract would not be renewed and he remains on paid leave. Adam Rosenthal, attorney at Sheppard Mullin, provided the following statement on behalf of Callstrom: “While Callstrom might either hire women and/or people of color, Callstrom would later target these employees while giving preferential treatment to white male, non-diverse employees,” the lawsuit alleges.
