Pete Wicks, a former star of The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE), found himself in hot water with his new girlfriend Olivia Attwood after making a playful yet bold remark about her appearance.
The couple, who have recently made their relationship public following months of speculation, co-host a weekly radio show on KISS FM. In a snippet from the upcoming series of Olivia's TV show, The Price of Perfection, filmed before they went official, Pete joked that while Olivia dresses up for her TV appearances, she often looks less put-together for their Sunday radio segments. As they finished their radio show, Pete noticed Olivia had hair clips in her hair and asked why.
Olivia explained she had blow-dried her hair that morning to look nice for her TV program. Instead of complimenting her, Pete quipped, 'It's nice that you make an effort to look good for filming, but you turn up every Sunday looking a mess.
' Olivia, who was wearing a grey tracksuit, gave Pete a stern look, prompting him to quickly backtrack. He joked, 'I'm gonna take that back because you're frightening,' which led Olivia to playfully slap him. Their lighthearted exchange took a further playful turn when Pete suggested Olivia could be difficult.
During a segment where they shared a 'fact of the day,' Pete said, 'Dealing with difficult people has been proven to age you 1.5% faster, which is why I look like this-I work with Sam Thompson... and you.
' Olivia ignored him and moved on to the next segment. In another clip from Olivia's show, the couple engaged in a flirty exchange. When Pete asked Olivia what she would change about him, she replied, 'Your eyes.
' Pete, known for his striking blue eyes, was stunned. 'You'd change my eyes? ' he asked. Olivia added, 'You look like you've enjoyed life.
' As Pete feigned offense and pretended to leave the studio, Olivia quipped, 'I've got some research to do-on eye doctors for you! ' Earlier, Olivia expressed gratitude for the support she has received. Reflecting on a challenging year following her split from husband Bradley Dack, she wrote on Instagram, 'I'm exactly who I wanted to be when I grew up. After such a weird up and down year, everything feels like it's just starting to fall into place.
