The odds on Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg being the Democratic Party's 2024 vice presidential candidate have improved with one leading bookmaker over the past 24 hours, following media reports that the campaign team of Vice President Kamala Harris, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, is considering him for the role.On Wednesday, William Hill offered odds of 14/1 on Buttigieg running as the Democrats' vice presidential pick, but this improved to 4/1 as of 5 a.m.
On Thursday, Kelly remained the firm William Hill favorite to be the Democrats' vice presidential nominee, with an 11/8 chance—though this was a deterioration from 10/11 on Wednesday.Over the same period, Shapiro went from 5/2 to 2/1 , while Cooper went from 4/1 to 5/1.Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, who is also reportedly under consideration for the role, went from 10/1 to 8/1 .
