Whether Buttigieg clarifying his work at McKinley will stoke or quell the outcry over his association with the firm remains to be seen—as the, Buttigieg critics could point to the now-candidate's work with Blue Cross as more evidence of Buttigieg's ties to the health insurance industry and how his “Medicare for All who want it” plan will benefit their interests. But Buttigieg told thethat he hopes his disclosure will end the conversation over his private-sector past.
