Pervert who repeatedly abused teenager told her 'I don't care' about your age
A Skelmersdale man who repeatedly abused a teenage girl told her ‘if anyone finds out, say you instigated it’.
The sexual activity went on for several weeks, progressing from kissing to penetration as Austin strongly encouraged the often reluctant girl to comply. She eventually told a family member about what was happening after her father became concerned about her withdrawn behaviour.Prosecuting, Lucy Worsley told Preston Crown Court that the relationship began at a time when the girl was vulnerable due to a fallout with various members of her family.
Ms Worsley went on to detail the sexual activities the pair engaged in, with the girl often reluctant to partake in certain acts but encouraged to by Austin. One occasion, the court heard, Austin lied about wearing a condom leading to the girl needing to take a morning after pill. The paedophilic relationship was eventually found out when a family member convinced the girl to talk about what was bothering her. Concern had separately been raised to a social worker when Austin’s own young daughter made reference to Austin putting the girl to bed.
