Rescue workers in northern Peru are searching for trapped miners after a small gold mine collapsed following an alleged attack by suspected illegal miners on Sunday. Local mayor Segundo Armas said that as many as 17 miners could be trapped in the remote mine, and the difficult terrain and lack of cellular service are hampering rescue efforts.
