WA Police launched an investigation after they were contacted by Indian authorities who were looking into the attack on a 65-year-old man in Kahlon Village.
A Perth man has been arrested after allegedly arranging for three men to kill his father-in-law in India.
The 42-year-old from Maddington has been charged with attempted murder and will appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday. WA Police launched an investigation after they were contacted by Indian authorities who were looking into the attack on a 65-year-old man in Kahlon Village, Punjab India. Police allege the older man was attacked with a machete and then shot in the back of the head in February last year but survived with a fractured skull and serious brain injury after the gun misfired.Three men were arrested by Indian authorities in relation to the attack. Indian police contacted WA Police in relation to the involvement of a fourth person.
They now allege the Maddington man was “actively seeking a person to commit the murder of his father-in-law”.Earlier this month the Maddington man was arrested for breaching a Family Violence Restraining Order taken out by his ex-wife.Get alerts on significant breaking news as happens.
