Kylena Hill says she and her five children are soon to be homeless, while her violent ex-partner is out on bail for multiple, brutal attacks on her.
Kylena Hill and her young children have been told to leave their Perth home, but fear being left exposed with Ms Hill's violent ex-partner out on bail.Advocates are working to find a safe solution for the family while WA's Child Protection agency are also intending to support Ms Hill's plea to relocate.
Police allege the man started walking away, but Ms Hill followed him and pushed him several times. It's believed he was not injured. "Communities works to improve the safety and protection of tenants who may be experiencing FDV," the spokesperson said. The 28-year-old's parents are dead and most of her siblings are in jail. The young mother says she has no other family and has been left to raise her children alone.Last year, she had to pull them out of a house fire, which authorities ruled accidental, that destroyed their home and everything they owned.
A Child Protection worker told Ms Hill's advocates that while they held concerns over the children's school and medical appointment attendance, she engaged well with the department."She is trying to do her best and it is likely that her past traumas ... severe FDV survivor... current stress with housing and risk of homeless ... children's medical and developmental and behavioural needs are all placing enormous pressure on her and at times can impact her capacity.
"I raised with the department … how myself and many other advocates were begging for months to have Tiffany relocated for her own safety," she says."If she ends up on the streets, these beautiful children are going to end up back in care and he will end up killing her."The Department received 92 complaints from Ms Hill's neighbours within a five-month period of her current tenancy.
