Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) is investigating a shooting at the Trader's Point shopping center on Indianapolis' northwest side. Three suspects attempted to rob a person, who escaped unharmed. The suspects then tried to rob another person, who shot one of the suspects. The other two suspects fled the scene and are still being sought by police.

Responding officers located a male in the parking lot who was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. IMPD Officer Tommy Thompson said preliminary information indicates three suspects attempted to rob a person in the area. That person wasn't robbed and managed to get away, later speaking with police.
Then, the suspects allegedly tried to rob another person, who shot one of the suspects. The second attempted robbery victim who shot the suspect was being cooperative with police, Thompson said.Detectives were speaking with witnesses and looking for surveillance video of the incident Wednesday morning, and anyone with information is asked to contact IMPD at 317-327-3475 or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477.
