Luigi Mangione, the person of interest in connection to the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, is originally from the Baltimore area. Mangione, 26, was taken into custody Monday morning after being spotted at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania. He is being held on a firearms charge. Mangione was born and raised in Baltimore County. He graduated in 2016 from Gilman School as class valedictorian before attending the University of Pennsylvania, where he developed video games.
