A person was shot Wednesday afternoon in an East Oakland neighborhood, authorities said.
Just after 5 p.m., police initially responded to the 5000 block of International Boulevard, a police spokesperson said in an e-mailed statement.
After officers arrived and searched nearby, they found a person suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a hospital, and later listed in stable condition. No information about a possible motive, shooting suspects or associated vehicles was immediately released Wednesday night. For information leading to the arrest of a suspect, police are offering up to $5,000 in the shooting.
