KAMPAR: Perak PKR is conducting careful and prudent screening of candidates for political appointments, and will not rush to fill posts involving government-linked companies (GLCs) and local authorities, as well as village heads, says Mohd Azlan Helmi.
The Perak PKR secretary said the move was important to ensure that every new appointment was done in an orderly manner and according to the procedure.
"Regarding appointments in GLCs, the list of candidates has already been screened at the Perak PKR leadership level to ensure that those selected are truly qualified, and after that, we will submit the names to the Perak Pakatan Harapan leadership for approval," said Azlan, who is also the state Communications, Multimedia and NGO Committee chairman, in a press conference after inaugurating the"Wow Perak FM" carnival in Tualang Sekah here, Saturday .
Meanwhile, Azlan said the Wow Perak FM carnival organised Saturday was aimed at reaching out to the community through various activities and interesting competitions in Tualang Sekah.
