Perak MB Ahmad Faizal resigns

IPOH: Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu has tendered his resignation as Perak Mentri Besar following an audience with the Sultan of Perak.

Faizal said he had explained to Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah that his resignation was due to Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia leaving Pakatan Harapan."With my resignation, the state executive council members are also no more with immediate effect.

"I will leave it to the Sultan to appoint a new Mentri Besar and form a new state government," he told reporters after leaving Istana Kinta here on Tuesday morning. "I, therefore, urge the people to be patient and remain calm while His Royal Highness makes a decision," he added.
