Mosques nationwide have been shut since last March, but may reopen soon under strict health guidelines.
It is understood that several other states would follow suit with similar arrangements, some two months after shutting down mosques and suraus when the government declared the movement control order on March 18. JAINJ said the unprecedented rules were justified by Islamic jurisprudence, based on the principle of avoiding harm.
