Perak Bersatu, Umno chiefs seek audience with Ruler over MB post

IPOH: Perak Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu and state Umno chairman Datuk Saarani Mohamad are now meeting with Perak's Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah on the status of the Mentri Besar post.

Faizal arrived at the Istana Kinta here at about 9.10am on Tuesday while Saarani entered at about 9.15am.Faizal had announced yesterday that Perikatan Nasional would be forming the state government.PKR’s Kuala Kurau assemblyman Datuk Abdul Yunus Jamahri and former Umno member-turned-independent Tualang Sekah assemblywoman Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohd Radzi joined Bersatu.

Former state exco members Paul Yong Choo Kiong and Hasnul Zulkarnain Abd Munaim and Buntong assemblyman A. Sivasubramaniam have quit Pakatan Harapan to become Perikatan-friendly independents.
