For the last 10 years, Pepa Salazar has been committed to experimentation, paying special attention to her patternmaking. Her main endeavor as a designer has been exploring the concept of movement and the female body through her sensual elasticated garments. For spring, she embraced her signature codes but in a totally different light, one that looks at fantasy and combat.
Prints with fairytale echoes are one of the hallmarks of this collection; long draped dresses with oversized hoods are another. “The aim of it all is intensifying a dreamy fantastic mood within a world of intimate sensuality,” Salazar said. There is also denim, a material the designer has been working with for the last few seasons, though here it was done with laser-cut designs and worn with earth-toned maxi dresses in military prints.
