I strongly defend Shine’s right to be wrong, He just seems clueless by crying foul when challenged in his public assertion that LGBTQ+ people are immoral.

In his July 24 letter, Al Shine lists three counts on which he claims I’m mistaken in my reply to his June 14 letter:

1. “He ties resistance to people based on their inherent race or skin color to resistance to a behavior which is, for very arguable reasons, considered by many to be immoral.” Very arguable reasons? Sorry, your religious beliefs about LGBTQ+ “behavior” have lost sway in our culture. You’ve a right to your views, but they can no longer be imposed on others.
