The news follows the Autumn 2024 Budget which was announced last week.
After the Autumn Budget was revealed last week, the Work and Pensions Secretary confirmed a rise of 1.7 per cent in disability benefits, including Carer's Allowance, for the 2025/26 financial year.
Currently, a successful claim for PIP or ADP can give between £28.70 and £184.30 each week in additional financial support. The benefit is paid every four weeks meaning there are 13 payments over a year instead of 12. This equates to between £114.80 and £737.20 every payment period.
