More than 435,000 people are receiving either £290 or £434 every four -week pay period for arthritis.
The latest figures from the Department for Work and Pensions show there are now 435,340 people across Great Britain receiving Attendance Allowance support for arthritis, making it the most-claimed for health condition by people over State Pension age. More than 39,700 older people in Scotland are receiving either £72.65 or £108.55 each week, along with more than 1,300 living abroad.
